Rekha Gupta’s Pushes Accountability, Reviews Budget Implementations
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta held a high-level review meeting in order to check the progress of projects that were announced in the Delhi Budget 2026-27. The meeting included all the administrative secretaries and heads of departments to track the actual implementation within the time. She stated that government priority is more than just making announcements while stressing on the need that the schemes must reach the people for real benefits.
Moving further, she also warned the departments while stating that the underutilization of allocated budget by departments could cause them face reduced funding in next year budgets. The departments were strictly instructed to review projects responsibly as well as consistently and to submit their progress updates regularly. Officials were also provided with clear guidelines to upload important details of projects on Pragati portal to ensure better monitoring.
During the meeting monsoon preparedness was also considered as an important discussion for which directed the departments to complete tasks including cleaning of drains. She emphasized that prevent waterlogging in areas is amongst the top priorities of government.
This reflects her approach to more governance-focused leadership while handling administration, financial accountability, infrastructure planning and public service delivery to ensure visible public benefits. She carefully reviewed government school maintenance, pollution control, plantation drives and infrastructure projects which signals government attempt to enhance accountability and public trust.
