Reimagining Healthcare, One Innovation at a Time: The Journey of Chanchal Goyal

"Dream big, start small, and never stop learning."

In the fast-evolving world of digital healthcare, few names shine as brightly as Chanchal Goyal. As a Data Analyst turned entrepreneur and Co-founder of Chikitsa.io, Chanchal’s story is one of grit, curiosity, and a deep desire to make a difference.

Hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, Chanchal’s five-year journey in tech has already begun transforming India’s health infrastructure. Her story is a reminder that innovation doesn't always start in a boardroom—it can begin on a quiet car ride, with an idea sparked by empathy and a desire to solve real problems.

From Shock to Startup: A Purpose-Driven Beginning

“I never imagined I’d co-found a health-tech company,” Chanchal begins with a smile. “But one day, my husband and I heard that a hospital medical data had been hacked, and a ransom of ?200 crore was demanded. It was shocking—and it made us realize how vulnerable our healthcare system really is.”

What followed was a 20-minute car ride that would change the trajectory of her life. By the time they reached their destination, the couple had decided to create a secure digital health locker to protect patient data and revolutionize healthcare operations. Chikitsa.io was born the next day.

From that spark of urgency, Chanchal has helped build an AI-powered health-tech platform offering solutions like a Medical Speech-to-Text Agent for real-time documentation, a WhatsApp Medical Bot for appointment booking and report sharing, and an AI-based Health Claim Exchange System that simplifies insurance claim processes. Her team is even digitizing handwritten prescriptions and providing clinical decision support to doctors—all through AI.

“We wanted to bring simplicity, security, and speed to healthcare,” Chanchal shares. “And with every new feature, we move one step closer to that vision.”

Inspired by Innovation and Partnership

Behind every successful woman is a strong support system, and for Chanchal, that support comes from her husband and co-founder, Chirag Goyal.

“His mindset and problem-solving abilities have always motivated me,” she says. “He’s my biggest inspiration.”

Chanchal’s career has been shaped by curiosity and a hunger to create meaningful change. Key milestones in her journey include signing partnerships with leading healthcare organizations and government-backed programs like SIDH, developing advanced AI tools, and presenting her ideas at prestigious platforms like London Tech Week and the Global Digital Health Summit.

“These events showed me that we’re not just building technology—we’re part of a global movement to change healthcare for the better,” she reflects.

Achievements That Matter

To Chanchal, success is not defined by headlines—it’s defined by impact.

“My biggest achievement is seeing hospitals actually using our systems and telling us, ‘This saves us hours of work,’” she says. “That’s when you know your solution is not just smart, it’s meaningful.”

Through her work, she has helped digitize hospital operations, reduce burnout for doctors, and improve patient care—all while ensuring data security and regulatory compliance.

Recognition has followed naturally. Chanchal has been acknowledged as a promising innovator in the health-tech space and has earned the trust of hospitals, government partners, and private healthcare firms alike.

Rising Through Challenges

Innovation comes with its share of resistance, and Chanchal has faced it head-on.

“Convincing hospitals to adopt tech isn’t easy. Many are comfortable with traditional methods and fear change,” she explains. “On top of that, working in healthcare means dealing with strict regulations and the need for airtight data security.”

Running a startup also means juggling multiple roles. But Chanchal has mastered the art of staying grounded while growing fast.

“My principles are simple,” she says. “Simplicity in solutions, impact in purpose, resilience in setbacks, and empathy in every decision.”

Balance, Belief, and the Bigger Picture

How does one balance the pressure of entrepreneurship with personal life? For Chanchal, the answer lies in planning and perspective.

“I plan my day in advance, carve out time for myself, and trust my team,” she shares. “Whether it’s a short walk or a quiet moment with a book, these things recharge me.”

Her motivation comes from seeing tangible results—tools that save time, improve efficiency, and make doctors’ lives easier. “That’s what keeps me going every day.”

Building the Future, One Innovation at a Time

Currently, Chanchal is working on specialized EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) tailored for fields like Dental, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Neurology, and Gynecology, in collaboration with Manorama Healthcare. She’s also scaling existing AI agents to improve speech-to-text documentation and insurance claim processing.

But her dreams don’t stop at national borders.

“My goal is to take Chikitsa global—to bring our innovations to hospitals across the world,” she says with quiet determination. “I want to keep building tools that make healthcare simple, accessible, and secure.”

Wisdom for Women Everywhere

For young women looking to step into tech or entrepreneurship, Chanchal’s advice is both encouraging and actionable:

“Believe in yourself and take that first step. You don’t need permission to start something new. Learn, experiment, and trust your instincts. The world needs more women in tech—you could be the next game-changer.”

At She Inspire Magazine, we celebrate women like Chanchal Goyal—not just for their achievements, but for the courage they show in turning problems into possibilities, and for reminding us that innovation, when rooted in empathy, can change the world.
