Priyanka’s Cameo in Mira Nair’s Amri Creates Buzz

 

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is reportedly expanding her Indian work slate. She is currently busy in shooting for the film “Varanasi” with S.S. Rajamouli, while during this schedule she has been completed a shoot for special guest appearance in another film. This is an addition to her continuously growing list of international and national collaborations.

The cameo has been filmed in Amri, directed by Mira Nair. While keeping the project highly confidential her role is expected to be brief but narratively significant. Both are globally recognized Indian-origin women, enhancing project’s visibility and the film marks their first on-screen collaboration.

The film Amri is based on the life journey of Amrita Sher Gill a well- known pioneer of modern Indian art. The film involves the explorations around her multicultural life journey and the settings includes countries like Hungary, France and India while focusing on her artistic evolution which blends European and Indian styles.

The reports suggest Tanya Maniktala is supposed to reunite with Mira Nair after “A Suitable Boy” as she is expected to play the lead in film. Priyanka’s shoot has been completed within two days in Amritsar after Hyderabad’s work. The project is shaping up as an international biographic drama as well as generates interest among fans and audiences due to its subject and global  appeal.
