Moon mission inspiring next generation of girls

NASA recently initiated a program called the Artemis Program, with aim to send humans back to the moon after 50 years. The Artemis IIis the first mission in this program that will carry astronauts, who will fly around the moon and then return earth safely. While it will not land on the moon but mainly a testing mission with humans.

Cristina Koch is one of the astronauts on this mission. She is expected to become the first woman to travel the Moon orbit. It is significantly a major historic move as earlier missions like Apollo Program sent only men, so the mission represents a gender equality and progress in opportunities for women.

After this mission the NASA also aims to Artemis III, which goals to land human on moon and could possibly land the first woman on the lunar surface, along with this it is also preparing for future missions to mars.
