Manu Bhaker Gears Up as Olympic Cycle Begins

 

As the new competitive season arrives Manu Bhaker regains confidence after the quite phase followed by her success at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Now she is focusing on rebuilding momentum as the next Olympic qualification cycle approaches. She aims to rediscover herself the form that brought her major wins with two bronze medals.

While targeting the key international competitions this year involving Asian Games and ISSF World Championship. She has been closely working with her coach to plan training and competition schedules as well as emphasized that preparation and strategy are well aligned and confirmed her participation at the ISSF World Championships.

Despite a quieter period, she still managed to secure silver in both 10m air pistol at the World Cup and 25m pistol at the Asian Championships. Moving forward, she continued and recalled her breakthrough at 2018 edition in Gold Coast as well as welcomed the return of shooting at Commonwealth Games of 2030 in India. She further expressed her excitement and optimism about India’s performance as the host of upcoming games.

Additionally, she also opened up about her spiritual journey which deepened around the time of Olympics, she said now she perceives it as a source of balance and inner strength. She also talked about Vaibhav Suryavanshi as a young cricket talent and expressed that talent should never be limited by age, instead it must be backed with support and right mentorship. This statement by her reflects maturity, discipline and long-term vision  beyond just competitions.
