Her debut in Hindi cinema will reportedly come opposite Ranveer Singh in Pralay, taking on intense sequence in the high- profile zombie thriller, unlike typical conventional leading lady.

According to variety India, Kalyani’s character in ‘Pralay’ has been designed as a genuinely action-oriented role. Unlike the stereotypical “damsel in distress,” often handed to female leads in big-budget genre films. The actress will be seen performing fight scenes and high-risk stunts alongside Ranveer Singh is what being billed as a high-octane zombie thriller. After impressing audiences with her portrayal of a yakshi in Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra, Kalyani has reportedly earned the confidence of the filmmakers, who are planning large scale action in upcoming films.

That confidence isn't coming without preparation. Kalyani is reportedly set to undergo specialised training under international stunt coordinators and action experts to get ready for the role a sign of just how seriously the production is treating its action sequences. The filmmakers, sources say, are envisioning Pralayas one of Indian cinema's biggest spectacles yet, with ambitions to deliver action that stands with Hollywood's biggest productions. The scale of the project matches the vision. The movie carries an estimated budget of nearly Rs 300 crore and is being mounted as a large, VFX-heavy zombie thriller set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world. The film is directed by Jay Mehta, and shooting is expected to begin in August, with a major schedule planned in Australia before the production resumes for further shoots next year. For Ranveer Singh, fresh off his intense performance in Dhurandhar, it marks another big swing at genre filmmaking and for Kalyani, it's a debut that skips straight past the usual Bollywood roles and drops her into one of the year's most anticipated action film.

Apart from her Bollywood debut, Kalayani Priyadarshan is also preparing to return to the world of ‘ Lokah’. The actress recently confirmed that work on Lokah chapter 2 is expected to begin in September. The sequel will centre on Chattan and written and directed by Dominic Arun. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan, the five-part franchise draws inspiration from regional folklore, with the actor playing a significant role in the overarching narrative.

Dhurandhar actor Ranveer and Kalyani who won over producers with her performance as Yakshi in the Malayalam superhero movie, will receive training from international stunt coordinators and experts.
