HCLTech Appoints Kimsuka Narsimhan for Board Role

 

HCLTech made major announcement of key board-level appointment with Kimsuka Narsimhan as the Independent Director, effected from 20th April 2026. She has a experience of 35 years in consumer good industry and has already worked as CFO of companies and in other leadership roles.

Now as she has been appointed as the Independent Director of the board so her working would involve providing strategic oversight, mainly focused on governance, compliance and long-term directions. Her appointment for the role came as the company prepares for future growth and transformation.

Despite she is new to HCLTech with no prior experience with the company, she made a direct entry to the Board of Directors. This decision of company reflects that it often brings external experts for board roles while focusing on independent judgements and fresh perspectives rather than internal experience. This move also enhanced the board’s diversity to 54% which signifies a broader commitment of company to inclusive leadership.

The appointment of Kimsuka Narsimhan is perceived as a strategic move aligned with HCLTech’s next phase of growth, particularly it focuses on emerging technologies across world like Artificial Intelligence. Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra while highlighting the Kimsuka’s experience said that it would play crucial role in strengthening company’s governance framework as well as long term strategies. In respond to her appointment Kimsuka expressed enthusiasm to be able to contribute to company’s growth and working with the board closely.
