Dr. Rajanisree Rajendran: A Beacon of Resilience and Innovation

 

Dr. Rajanisree Rajendran CSC Village Level Entrepreneur and dedicated social worker. She holds an honorary Doctorate in Law, LLB, and B.Sc Degree holder. She is the managing trustee of the legally registered Sree Narayana Charitable Trust and 10 other units under “Sree Group". Her work exemplifies a deep commitment to community service and legal excellence.

Dr. Rajanisree Rajendran's journey is a narrative of courage, innovation, and unwavering dedication to social service. Her life and work continue to inspire and uplift her, making her a true icon in her field.

Introduction:

Dr. Rajanisree Rajendran is a social activist, who was born and brought up in Chittur, Palakkad District, Kerala. Growing up her father and mother both worked in a government office. She has been a social activist, entrepreneur, and managing trustee of Sree Nanrayanaa Charitable Trust for 9 years. She did her primary schooling at Chittur Victoria Girls High School. She was also the leader in her school GHSS Chittur. Her college education was at Govt College Chittur. She has completed a Computer Teacher Training course.

Challenges and Achievements:

Dr. Rajanisree recently completed her LLB degree, and currently focusing on her LLM degree. She also received training in Agro Technology of Medicinal plants from the Department Of Science And Technology Of The National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, and researched under a prominent taxonomist. She published a book on the cultivation methods of medicinal plants. During her college education, she also worked as a student trainee at Canara Bank during college education.

Dr. Rajanisree faced some challenges in establishing her venture. Due to some wrong decision taken at an immature time, she faced death experience three times, that incident left a mark on her and she almost thought of giving up. Instead, she pushed through it and started her Sri Padma CSC, a common service center that faced a lot of challenges during the period.

When a difficult time occurred, the member of women of Development Sthree Koottayma came to help, and they got the FSSAI license and brought various items like organic coconut oil, snacks, pickles, and dried ginger was a success and it was the start of Rajendra Foods (Granma’s touch), and all the products were sold out at Chennai, Banglore, Delhi, Coimbatore and Palakkad.

She also awarded with “Women Icon Award 2024” for social work and activities, she also received IndoSpanish International Award for contribution in Women Empowerement in Kerala. She was also rewarded for “Best Socialist Award” in 2024. She was awarded by Asian Council for Education and Research for her expectional services in “Law and Service”. She also received “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Award 2024”. 

Personal Insights:

Dr.Rajanisree has a son Mr. Reju Das, who is a software engineer, and her father and mother K.V. Rajendran and Padma Sankar, they were the biggest source of strength for her, thanks to her father, mother, and son she can easily handle work-life balance.

Impact and Vision:

Dr. Rajanisree believes in the upliftment of women. The women's group in her office has its handloom, but they are financially not able to buy the necessary items. So she supported them financially and provided a platform for them to sell their product, hence Sree Padmam Handlooms began. 

After Sree Handloom, she started to give employment to women by creating handicraft jewelry, and from that Sree Narayana Handicraft was established.

She thanks her uncle cinematographer Mr. Vipin Mohan who helped through her hardships and her brother Shankar Bhagyanath, Sri. A.V. Narayanan Kutty and her advocate friends Adv. Anoop Chempath, Adv. Vanitha. G Central Notary, without any hesitation, helped her to register Sree Narayana Charitable.

Conclusion:

Dr. Rajanisree is continuously helping women by creating Flowers, Nettipattam, Pottery painting, Fabric Painting, Mural Painting, Umbrellas, and Screen Painting and selling them. According to advice from her friends, Sree Sankara Homely Foods provides food to ordinary people at affordable prices.
