Aneet Padda to Play Two-Contrasting Roles in Shakti Shalini

A well-identified actress for her superhit film Saiyaara, Aneet Padda is making headlines again for her upcoming film named Shakti Shalini from Maddock’s horror-comedy universe. She will be seen playing the lead in the film and the project is currently in the final phase of production. The reports suggest that the makers are considering to shift its release from December 24,2026 to January 2027 in order avoid the box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s new coming film Khan.

In the film the actress, Aneet Padda is expected to portray the dual roles. The reports describe the characters as Shakti, the protector and Shalini, the darker opposing force. This is being considered as the biggest performance challenge in her career so far and also reflects a significant shift from her romantic image which was formed after her prior film Saiyaara.

The film reflects the story of rooted Bengali Folklore and supernatural mythology as well as it is expected to provide the audience with experience to witness the conflict between protective and destructive forces. Under the direction of Aditya Sarpotdar, the film is undergoing from extensive post-production and VFX work to meet the expectations of its fantasy-horror sale.

Aneet gained popularity after Saiyaara and this upcoming film marks another milestone in her career which significantly indicates towards her emerging as one of Bollywood’s fastest-rising young actress.
