Shreyanka Patil was nominated for the “Emerging Cricketer of the Year award for 2024”

On Saturday, the International Cricket Council released the list of nominees for the ICC Women's Emerging Cricketer of the Year award for 2024, and India’s all-rounder Shreyanka Patil is one of the nominees. Annerie Dercksen from South Africa, Saskia Horley from Scotland, and Freya Sargent from Ireland are other candidates who got nominated by ICC.

 

Shreyanka made her debut for India in December 2023, and since then, her cricket journey has been nothing but incredible. The young bowler has been a consistent performer for India across white-ball formats, regularly delivering in high-pressure situations. Primarily known for her bowling, Patil also has untapped potential as a lower-order batter. Her standout performances in the Women's T20 Asia Cup and the ICC Women's T20 World Cup have cemented her place in the team.
