Rashmika Mandanna Speaks Up on Overwork, Craving Balance and Family Time
Emerging star Rashmika Mandanna has publicly reflected on her demanding shooting schedule, admitting that she has “overworked” and emphasising the need for a healthier work-life balance. She shared that actors, too, deserve fixed working hours—so they can reclaim time for sleep, fitness and family life.
In a candid interview, Mandanna admitted taking on more than she should, saying:
I overwork, and I’m telling you it’s highly not suggestible. It’s not sustainable… get those 8 hours… 9–10 hours also... because trust me that’s going to save you later.”
She added that although the industry doesn’t operate like a standard nine-to-six job, she wishes it did: “Because there’s still a family life I want to focus on, there’s still my sleep I want to get, I still want to work out so later on I'm not regretting... I’m still thinking about my future.”
Mandanna’s comments surface in the wake of a broader conversation sparked by Padukone’s own reported demand for structured 8-hour shifts, and they spotlight the personal toll of workloads in the film industry.
Her message underscores the importance of boundaries, wellness and intentional living — reminding us that success shouldn’t come at the cost of sleep, health or meaningful relationships.
