From Finance to Education: Purvi Gohel’s Journey of Purpose, Impact and Women Empowerment
Purvi Rupen Gohel: Director & Co-founder Smart BrainOrbit
Some journeys start with a destination. Others begin with a feeling—a pull toward something deeper. For Purvi it was that feeling. A sense that life had more to offer than what she was doing. That calling led her from the world of investment and finance to the field of education. Today as Director and Co-founder of Smart BrainOrbit, Purvi has built a growing network of over 25 centres across Gujarat. She has created jobs for 100 women and supported the learning journey of more than 5000 students.
From Finance to Education
Purvi began her career in the investment and finance industry. There she gained experience in business operations, financial planning and decision-making. Even while working in this field she always carried a desire to serve education. "I always had a feeling " she says. "It wasn’t a choice. It was an instinct that stayed with me and grew stronger over time." In 2015 she took her real step into the world of education. At first it was small— one idea, one classroom.. Slowly that idea turned into a vision. Over the years she learned things. She learned how to connect with parents and children. She learned how to build trust. She learned how to manage centres, lead teams and create spaces where kids could learn with confidence. Of rushing forward Purvi chose steady growth. Each new experience helped shape her mission.
Building a Holistic Learning Environment
As Smart BrainOrbit grew Purvi and her team focused on creating programs that supported all sides of a child’s development. The centres offer classes like Abacus, Phonics, Handwriting Improvement and DMIT reports. These help children strengthen their concentration, memory, language skills and handwriting. They also help identify each child’s learning style. For Purvi education is not about grades or scores. It's about helping children grow confident, disciplined and ready for the future. "We want every
child who walks through our doors to discover not what they can learn—but what they are capable of doing " she says. This belief has become central to how the organisation teaches and grows.
From One Step to Than 25 Centres
For Purvi expansion never meant simply adding more buildings or classrooms. Each centre represented another chance to reach a child and bring opportunity to someone in need. Smart BrainOrbit started small. Grew steadily. Now the network spans than 25 centres throughout Gujarat. Over 5000 students have been part of its journey. For Purvi these numbers mean more than business success. "Every student who learns with us every woman who finds a job with us—that is the reason I started this journey " she says.
Empowering Women Through Employment
Alongside growth came a focus on building a team and giving women a chance to rise. A major part of Purvi’s story is how she created jobs for women. Today than 100 women work at Smart BrainOrbit. For Purvi women empowerment is not a slogan. It means change. It means giving women a place where they can earn, grow gain confidence and stand on their feet financially.
Taking Students Beyond the Classroom
One of the achievements for Smart BrainOrbit has been its students taking part in national-level Abacus competitions. Every year students from the centres join these contests. They compete against others from across the country. Many have won third place medals. For Purvi these wins are not trophies. They show the work of students, teachers and parents. They prove that consistent effort builds discipline and confidence. Smart BrainOrbit has also earned recognition. The organization received the Best Institution for Abacus Award three years in a row—2024, 2025 and 2026. Seeing children perform on stage and come back with awards? That is one of the rewarding parts of Purvi’s journey.
Recognition Along the Way
Purvi’s path hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2024 she received the Women Entrepreneur Award from RED FM, Vadodara. It was a moment.. For Purvi awards are milestones—not final goals. What truly matters to her is the progress of students and the growth of the women she works with. Her joy doesn’t end with headlines or ceremonies. It lives in the smiles of children and the confidence of women stepping into leadership roles.
A Vision for the Future
Purvi wants to take Smart BrainOrbit to 60 centres and beyond across Gujarat. She aims to provide jobs for least 300 women.. Her dream goes far beyond numbers. She wants to build a system where more children can access skill-based education. She wants to see students competing on national platforms.. She wants to open doors for more women to build meaningful careers. "I want to see Smart BrainOrbit spread across Gujarat " she says. ". I also want that expansion to give hundreds of women jobs and change the lives of thousands of children.”
Purvi Gohel’s journey—from starting in finance to finding her purpose in education—shows how an inner call can grow into a powerful mission. What began in 2015 has become a network of than 25 centres. It has touched the lives of over 5000 students. It has given work to, than 100 women. It has helped young learners shine on stages. With a goal of 60 centres and 300 jobs Purvi keeps moving. She believes real success isn’t only measured by how you go. It’s also measured by how people you help move forward along the way.
