Navratri Begins with YRF Announcement of Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3

With the much-awaited Mardaani 3, Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji is set to make a strong comeback in her bold character as Shivani Shivaji Roy.  Fans went crazy when Yash Raj Films announced this powerful Bollywood action movie during Navratri, marking the beginning of the festival season. The poster, released as a part of Bollywood movies during Navratri, shows Rani standing courageously in front of the Delhi Police barricade holding a revolver in her hand, indicating there will be more powerful stories of courage and justice.

The makers shared that the background of the poster celebrates Goddess Durga’s strength with the chant of Aligiri Nandini, symbolizing power and fearlessness. This third chapter of the franchise will once again show Shivani battling brutal crimes, even at the cost of risking her own life. The fans thronged social media with enthusiasm, already looking forward to the next Bollywood movies for Navratri 2025.  Numerous individuals welcomed the return of Rani in action and called the surprise announcement the perfect Navratri present.

Being the only female-led police franchise of Indian cinema, the Mardaani series holds a special position in Bollywood news.  In 2014, the first film was released, and Mardaani 2 in 2019 followed.  Rani's fearless acting and realistic plots of both films earned accolades.  With a darker and more thrilling plot, YRF's upcoming films, including Mardaani 3, are expected to raise the bar even higher. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, the Rani Mukerji action film Mardaani 3 will hit theatres on February 27, 2026.
