Personal Insight: Finding Purpose in an Unplanned Path

With over 18 years of experience working in an IT Service Industry, as a India Head – Facilities. Nisha Mathur did not plan a career in corporate real estate and facilities management, what kept her there was something far more powerful than planning with a deep sense of responsibility for the spaces people work in every day.

Nisha has led capital improvement projects, ensured compliance with health and safety regulations, and driven programs that enhance both infrastructure and employee experience. Her work sits at the intersection of operations, sustainability, and human well-being.

Entering into a field traditionally dominated by men at a time when female representation was rare. At first, she was the only woman among her 14 male colleagues. But now it’s changing, and will find more women’s leadership in this area, and they are showcasing a better leadership skill. It sharpened her resolve to prove that leadership is defined by competence and commitment, not gender.

The Journey: Learning on the Ground, Leading with Conviction

Spending over 17 years across well-known corporate environments, each phase adds depth to her understanding of people, processes, and purpose.

With the inauguration of a new office project led by her became one of her most memorable memories came on 23rd May 2024, this always remain close to her heart because it reflected what collaboration can truly look when people care.

Silently breaking taboos her mother became the first women in the family to work in a government role. Growing up watching her mother balance responsibility left a lasting impression. Years later Nisha became first women in her family to work in private sector and rise to a leadership position.

Challenges: Navigating Loss and Responsibility

Speaking of her personal space as she moves ahead her personal life tested her in profound ways, with the sudden demise of her mother marked one of the most difficult periods she has faced. While carrying baggage of her personal loss Grief reshaped into priorities.

Achievements: Quiet Confidence, Earned Recognition

As we move ahead, Nisha expresses joyful moment when she got featured in an influential women’s magazine, recognition over a journey built steadily over years, recently she was honoured with the “Women in Leadership – 2025 World Women Icon” award by the Global Triumph Foundation, a recognition of her presence and impact in a demanding field.

Speaking beyond awards, her achievements lie in consistency building trust, delivering complex projects, and creating environments where people can work safely and comfortably.

Core Values: Ethics, Simplicity, and Clarity

Describing about herself as traditional and ethical, who believes in doing the right thing in right way even when no one is watching while maintaining her work and professional life balanced. As she speaks, “I live by the belief that true balance comes from presence—giving my undivided energy to my work when I am at work and offering the same wholehearted devotion to my home when I am at home. “, A philosophy that helps her stay present and focused on both worlds.
