Dr. Shreya Balasaheb Tavhare: Nurturing Health Where It Matters Most

“Healthy children are not just patients they are the future we are responsible for.”

Positive healing starts early even before words, understanding, and sometimes before trust make a change, says  Dr. Shreya Balasaheb Tavhare. A Neonatologist and an Ayurvedic Pediatrician  with over 10 years of clinical experience, what’s rooted in her is reflected in her work with a strong belief children deserves care that strengthens them from within, not just relief from symptoms.

Dr. Shreya is specialised in Kaumarbhritya (Balaroga), with advanced certifications in Ayurvedic dermatology and cosmetic therapies from Kerala. Currently she is practicing in Pune while her professional journey has moulded with lot of patience and persistence as by medical expertise.

Choosing a Path Few Were Ready to Trust

Moving backwards when Dr. Shreya’s journey started in back 2016, times when Ayurvedic treatment for children was seen with hesitation. Lot of times when parents questioned

whether Ayurveda could deliver results quickly especially without antibiotics. These early doubts became her first challenge.

Instead of pushing belief, she focused on outcomes. Through careful diet modifications, structured parent counselling, and a small set of well-chosen formulations, she began seeing visible improvements in common viral infections—often without antibiotic intervention. Results spoke louder than explanations.

As trust grew, so did her practice. She launched Suvarnaprashan and other immunity-boosting therapies, followed by Panchkarma protocols for children, an area many considered unconventional. Parents responded not just with acceptance, but appreciation. Her practice, BAALVEDA, gradually became a name associated with recovery, consistency, and care.

Building Confidence Through Healing

For Dr. Shreya, confidence doesn’t come from titles it comes from recovery. Looking a child heal faster, fall sick less often, and regain energy through Ayurvedic care drives her commitment every single day.

When I see parents coming to me and say , ‘It is because of BAALVEDA that my child is healthy,’ that is my biggest reward, she shares.

Nothing comes easily to you if there is no consistency whereas Consistency has been her strongest professional habit showing up daily, learning continuously, and implementing improvements without losing sight of Ayurvedic principles.

A Modern Mindset Rooted in Tradition

In a time where hustle is often considering hurdle for growth, Dr. Shreya states a grounded view. She believes progress comes from consistent learning and steady implementation, not burnout. Growth, she says, requires curiosity paired with discipline.

For Gen Z and young professionals, her message is clear: “Think out of the box, stay consistent, and don’t limit your dreams. The sky really is the limit.”

Her leadership philosophy is steadily influenced by history and mindset. When asked to define leadership in one word, she draws inspiration from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj a symbol of courage, strength, and vision.

Restructuring Empowerment and Independence

Turning down chapters of her life, where beyond medicine, she is passionate about women’s emotional independence. While acknowledging financial independence as progress, she believes emotional strength is equally essential especially when women face difficult life decisions.

To her, empowerment means something which is intrinsic practical: educating mothers. By guiding them in Ayurvedic nutrition, lifestyle practices, and holistic childcare, she enables families to build health at home, not just in clinics.

Looking Ahead with Faith and Purpose

Dr. Shreya bestowed her faith in God’s master plan continues to grow her practice with clarity and conviction. Her focus remains unwavering—to raise healthier children, support informed parents, and strengthen Ayurveda’s place in pediatric care.
