Himaja: A Beacon of Resilience and Inspiration

 

Dr. Himaja Ch epitomizes the profound impact of a positive outlook, resilience, and genuine kindness. Her journey as a self-made woman underscores the limitless possibilities that emerge from unwavering determination and a compassionate heart. With her optimistic spirit as a guiding force, she has navigated challenges to achieve numerous significant milestones, serving as an inspiration to others aspiring to overcome obstacles and realize their dreams through steadfast belief in the power of positivity and perseverance. This article delves into the life of Himaja, her early childhood, her challenges, how she overcomes them, and her journey of establishing her foundation Hope for Life foundation. 

Introduction:

Dr. Himaja Ch had a very tough childhood, she grew up in an orphanage at Nalgonda, Telangana away from her family who lives in Hyderabad. In the orphanage she struggled for 5 years, she was admitted to an orphanage at the age of three. As a child she was heartbroken and did not accept this change easily, she wanted to run away from the orphanage but she didn’t do it. She believes that being in an orphanage is what made her stronger for the outside world.

As the idioms say “Time heals everything”, she slowly accepted her reality and enjoyed living it. Himaja said, “An average nuclear family would give her four or five people to interact with, and a joint family would give her 15-20 people, but here I can interact with 60 people from various cultures”. 

Dr. Himaja holds a diverse academic background, earning her degrees from various esteemed institutions: a bachelor's from Osmania University, an MBA from Periyar University, an MCJ from Manipal University, and a certification in Child Psychology from Counsel India. Several years following her studies, she established Hope for Life, an organization dedicated to supporting the needs of individuals and orphanages.

Challenges and Achivements:

Dr. Himaja has experienced days when she would skip lunch even on sunny days. Her challenging experiences have forged her resilience and strength, shaping her into a formidable woman.

After her 10th grade, Himaja got back with her parents at Vanasthalipuram. She did her Bachelor’s from Koti Women’s College, Hyderabad.

Since her early career, she initiated the Yuva Bharat program on ETV2, followed by roles at prominent channels such as HMTV, TV9, and iNews. Drawing from her own experience growing up in an orphanage, she passionately funded the education of three girls, embodying her commitment to support others' futures.

Personal Insights:

Dr. Himaja said that she starts her day at 3:30 am and reaches the office by 6 am. She starts early in the morning so she can spare enough time for her organization. Her family is very supportive of her selfless service.

Initially focusing on food distribution, Hope for Life expanded its mission to encompass healthcare and education, addressing comprehensive community needs. The organization not only manages these vital services but also actively promotes women's empowerment. Volunteers from Hope for Life undergo rigorous screening before being deployed to ensure compassionate and effective care for those in need.

Impact and Vision:

Dr. Himaja has done it all through her organization Hope for Life, whether it supplies for orphanages, treatment for cancer patients, blood facilitation for thalassemia patients, or education or skill development for women. Hope for Life Foundation started in 2016 and till now they have educated women about health, educate more than 6000 children. Done tribal work and they now have their services in more than 10 states. She contributed her hair to create wigs for cancer patients. Hope for Life is empowering tribal women through training initiatives, deploying dedicated volunteers to impart essential skills and foster self-sufficiency within their communities.

Hope for life foundation started providing technical and non technical training virtually to all those struggling to find a job. Himaja joined hands with various companies for providing jobs to the needy.

Conclusion:

Hope for Life operates independently of government financial support, relying solely on donations received through social media channels. Transparency is paramount, ensuring donors are informed about how their contributions are allocated, fostering trust and accountability in the organization's financial management.
