Caitlin Clark was named “Athlete of the Year”

Caitlin Clark, who made her debut in the WNBA less than a year ago, was named “Athlete of the Year” by Time Magazine. Caitlin Clark is a 22-year-old, point guard basketball player, who gained popularity in less than a year. Clark was the first rookie since 2008, who got selected to the All-WNBA first team in her inaugural season with the Indiana Fever in 2024.
Caitlin Clark also debuted on Sportico's list of the highest-paid female athletes last week, earning $11.1 million in total. Clark gained her popularity from the college in Iowa, and since then she hasn’t stopped earning recognition, in less than a year she was recognized as WNBA leader in APG, WNBA leader in 3PM, Most AST in a season in WNBA history, and many more.
