Bobby Deol Opens Up About His Original Debut Plan with Karisma Kapoor

While talking to a celebrity portal recently, actor Bobby Deol spoke of his initial days in the industry and revealed an interesting anecdote about his debut in Bollywood. While most people recall him debuting with Twinkle Khanna in the 1995 film Barsaat, Bobby informed us that things were not as planned. He told us that he was actually destined to begin his career with Karisma Kapoor, one of the leading actresses of that era.

Bobby Deol clarified that the movie he was scheduled to start with couldn't pick up because the plot wasn't complete. At that time, he added, the movie world worked differently for women and actresses would often not be able to wait long for the delayed projects. Consequently, Karisma Kapoor opted to pursue and introduced herself in her own Bollywood film with Prem Qaidi, which became a success and made her an upcoming star in the early 1990s.

Looking back at his experience, Bobby Deol said how destiny had a hand in deciding his career path. Although his debut ideas were altered, Barsaat proved to be a memorable beginning and gave him recognition as one of Bollywood's new faces to watch.
